"Mobile Phone Accidental Damage"
Mobile phone accidental damage is not covered by many insurance policies.
There are some providers who do include it in their plans like o2 (same company who gave us
o2 adsl), but most don't. So you need to check for this.
If you drop your phone accidentally, and the screen is shattered, it is not covered by the manufacturers warantee. The warantee will
only cover you for breakdown ie things going wrong for no particular reason, such as the screen just 'going dead' and stopping woking.
Not accidental damage.
So you need to make sure that with your
mobile phone insurance
you are covered for accidental damage especially if you are one of the 1000's of people who do not carry their phone
around in a leather case to protect it. One tumble from your pocket or bag, down to the ground can be enough to shatter the LCD display screen.
It is a good idea to use a leather case if you can, as they do offer a certain level of protection. They may make the phone a little bulky, particularly if
you always put your phone in your pocket, but you can get slimline cases that do not have the bulky clip on the back. Ask at you local phone shop.
Even with or without a leather case, your phone will undergo certain knocks in the course of every day use. It happens, its life. But you don't need to have
to pay for it when it happens. With the right mobile phone insurance (that is not expensive), you can effectively protect against accidental damage.

mobile phone insurance companies cover you for accidental damage.
