"Mobile Phone Fraudulent Calls"

Mobile phone fraudulent calls are the calls made after someone steals your phone. You could find yourself liable to hundreds of pounds of calls made by someone else on your phone.
In a recent case, a customer was made liable for in excess of £2,000 worth of calls made after their phone was stolen. They had mobile phone insurance, but the insurance company did not cover fraudluent calls.
So it is vital that if you want to be covered (to any extent) for fraudulent calls, that you check the policy terms and conditions for mobile phone fraudluent call cover.

Many insurance policies claim to cover fraudulent calls, but with a ridiculous small-print exclusion: they will only pay for fraudulent calls made AFTER you have reported the phone stolen to your network provider! Well, as soon as you report your phone stolen to your network provider, they will block the SIM card which allows calls to be made, so NO fraudulent calls could be made after it is reported stolen ... so it is a worthless policy clause. It means nothing. The only "fraudulent call" cover worth having is tjose that genuinely cover you for fraudulent calls made after your phone is stolen.
Usually, this will be up to a maximum amount as set in the Terms & Conditions, but this is far superior than any alleged fraudulent call cover that only cover you after you report it stolen.
